My nightmare started 6 months ago when I took my 3 year old to a general dentist. He just did not have the skills to make my daughter feel at ease. 10 mins into the appointment, I knew that she might have been scarred for life. He diagnosed 4 cavities. Seeing how anxious she was with the exam, I knew there was no way he was going to be able to do the fillings. So I decided to go see a specialist. Dr. Chang's office is very different from any other I've seen. He listens to the needs of the child and parents. What I especially liked was how he gave me options the other dentist didn't. People ask why do I need to bring my child to a specialist? The answer is that they are the expert. My daughter now loves going to see her dentist. I feel that I've set her on the right track.
